of My Own
I started my career in retail, working for some of the largest companies out there, including The Vitamin Shoppe, Dick’s Sporting Goods and Target. I began as an hourly associate and worked my way up into Director and District Operations roles.
Throughout my career, my focus was always on execution, customer service and operations. I was often deployed into challenging environments to drive real change through culture and process.
During COVID, I was let go from my director role at Target due to bureaucratic obstacles. That’s when I found North State Hauling. What started as a side hustle to pay the bills quickly turned into a passion — and ultimately a fully scaled business.
Our truck-and-trailer operation has grown into a multi-truck business with a team I’m proud of. By 2026, we’ve served more than 10,000 Bay Area customers in five years. The goal is still the same: take care of people and follow through.
